LibraryThing Coolest library/book blogging site around. I haven't managed to actually put more than 2 books into my list yet and I haven't done much else but I'm lorraineb over there if you're interested.

Online Etymology Dictionary (as opposed to entomological dictionary where all the bug people gather) Excellent place to go to find the answer to questions like which came first, the geek or the dork?

Online thesaurus for when you need as many synonyms for investigated, studied, and calculated as you can find.
